Train & Ed Sheeran were worth the drive!
From SE Michigan, we drove to see the show. A friend had mentioned that Journey puts on a great show. When I noticed that Ed Sheeran was also on the bill, it was a clear choice. Just a few months ago, we had seen Ed at another venue in Chicago.
Despite Pat's voice not being up to par, Journey delivered an energetic and impressive performance, even with their shortened set.
It was evident from the audience's reaction that most were there for Ed. While he is undeniably a talented singer, he lacks the charm that Journey exudes.
I particularly enjoyed newcomer Tristan Prettyman. Her song "Trader Joes" was hilarious. I wished she had performed more than 4 songs, and I could have done without some of Karmin's music (not my cup of tea, although they were engaging with the crowd).
